The wish was inspired by "Aladdin's Mistake" by Collegehumor that I watched back in ancient times.

The spirit of the local beach is said to be one of the most beautiful of the lesser spirits... though that is mostly the talk of the teens (especially the boys) who hung out there and took advantage of the free snacks sponsored by the tourist board. She would only appear sometimes in dreams and hallucinations (in which case people would pray that they hadn’t done anything to offend the beach recently), so it wasn't possible to get a definitive look at her form. But the connection between the spirit and physical worlds is imperfect, and the gods are not infallible, so various shenanigans can sometimes occur...
Samuel was the lucky guy who happened to find the divine seashell – carelessly dropped by that exact spirit, and capable of granting him near-infinite wishes, within reason. He refused to indulge in it right away, instead keeping it in his room and mulling over the possibilities. Of course, such findings should immediately be surrendered to the shrine...
"I wish I could see the beach spirit..." It only took one wish for it to go wrong. His body dissolved into the air, his soul ripping and fragmenting into dust before floating to its destination.
When he awakened, it felt as though a subtle, ethereal energy surrounded his entire being. He could see – or rather sense, as he wasn’t seeing it directly with his eyes – but the image of herself was very clear. She was a somewhat fragile-looking beauty, with long, light purple hair, and light, flawless skin, covered only by a white swimsuit. Her face was unbelievably delicate – the kind that looked like it would make subtle yet complex expressions – and in the center of it all was a pair of soft eyes, shimmering blue like the sea. And in front of her was a pair of shapely breasts that were definitely bigger than most...
He was at the beach again. But he wasn’t standing, but rather, floating, though it still looked like his feet were touching the ground. And the entire place felt instinctually more familiar, more intimate, as though it were a possession that had always belonged to him – or even almost an external part of himself. A faint flow of information about everything happening on the beach blended with his consciousness, hanging in the back of his mind, unable to be completely ignored. And soon he realized that, whenever he stopped thinking about his foreign body for long enough, his mind would quickly get comfortable with thinking of itself as female – until he forcibly banished the thought from his head each time.
Seeing no one in the area, she “walked” along the empty shore – each of her spirit footprints vanishing after a few seconds. She thought she heard conversation – but it was only animals trying to talk to her! Ignoring them, she searched for people – but when she finally found some, she was invisible to them, like a ghost, and any clear message or writing she tried to leave quickly turned into a jumbled mess. And while she could sense her power over the area, she was afraid to try anything, worried that she might mess something up. She helplessly wandered around her realm, getting more and more fearful of the possibility that she would be stuck as the spirit forever.
However – there was one person that she had told about the shell, and when she saw (sensed) him – her brother – coming to the beach, holding it in his hand, she eagerly followed him, praying that he would do something.
“I wish I knew what happened to Samuel!” ... Struck by the mental image of her beauty and perfect form, and the fact that apparently it was his brother inside of there... and after seeing the expression on her face, he knew that he immediately had to free him, and so the next wish stumbled out of his mouth...
“I wish he was human again!”
————————————
Unfortunately, coming down from divinity – even just a temporary, unearned stay as a minor spirit – irreversibly destroys one’s connection to the magical realm, which includes their ability to be affected by its power. And some human proportions work better in spirit form than physical...
